For educators
Banana Flip for teachers and interventionists
Extend evidence-aligned Kโ2 literacy practice into the home. Families get simple guidance; educators get a clearer picture of practice and progress.
Why home practice matters
Tier 1 and Tier 2 instruction at school rarely provides enough repetitions for struggling decoders. Families need something realistic, short, and aligned with what you teach โ not busywork.
Science-of-reading alignment
Banana Flip emphasizes explicit foundational skills โ phonemic awareness, phonics, and fluency โ with assessment-informed placement and adaptation. We cite instructional logic on our research page; we do not use tier labels in the parent UI.
What families do at home
A guided literacy checkup, then 8โ12 minute daily sessions. Parents assist during screening; most practice can run independently afterward.
What progress data looks like
Parents see plain-language dashboard updates. During pilots, educators can coordinate with families to review exports and qualitative feedback โ formal educator dashboards are on the roadmap.
Pilot model
We run small cohorts with structured feedback, optional week-2 screenshares, and debriefs at weeks 4, 8, and 12. Request the pilot brief below.
